Ever since I’ve heard this explanation, I cannot stop thinking about how much of what we believe spiritually could be objectively true in a way that yet cannot, but one day might, be explainable by science. You think you hear a voice - somewhere on the scale between the literal and the figurative meaning of the word - that you assign to, for lack of better understanding, coming from within, like many, many others have thought they heard before you for hundreds, maybe thousands of years. Those who came before you knew a lot less about the world or human perception, but it does make you wonder - do we know everything about human perception as we speak? Has the acquisition of knowledge ever stopped? To assume that the voice comes from somewhere beyond by all accords that you know of would feel delusional… and yet, as you look back on the row of coincidences that just statistically keep adding up, you cannot unsee the pattern that you couldn’t help but notice.
